Improving the Label/Archive Pages with Peek-a-boo View
Ramani over at Hacksphere is at it again. This time he outlines how to improve the Label/Archive pages in his post: Peek-A-Boo view of posts in Label/Archive pages . The default action when a label/category is selected is a new page with all the the posts in their entirety. This hack implements a method for readers to expand/collapse a post title after clicking a Label on the main page. Try it by clicking on a label in my 'Category Cloud'. Much easier navigation!
I feel Ramani has given good instructions, so I won't go into the specifics. I will warn you...when the widgets are expanded, they can be hard to follow. Just be slow and precise, follow his instructions, and all will go well.
Before starting, be sure to save your template. Then start editing. If you have a problem, let me know and I will try to help.

Only a test to see if the post footer reads '1 comment' or '1 comments'.
This is completely unrelated to this post, but not spam.
Does anyone know ho to include your adsense code into the post section of the blog in the new beta.
I essentially want to have a small add at the end of the post which is somewhat specific to that post topic. I having all kinds of problems foguring out the new beta code. Any ideas?
I don't know. I haven't heard anything about that. Did you try playing around in the "Settings/Formatting/Post Templates" or "Settings/Site Feed/Feed Item Footer"?
Hey,
I would like to use the peek-a-boo hack, but I can't find the 'includable' line of code in my template (Minima on beta blogger).
Is there anything I could do?
Many thanks in advance.
zbyszek, did you expand the widgets? There is a little box to check on the 'edit html' page right above the box with your template.
Do you know if there's a way to change the 'label' label? I want it to say 'related,' instead of 'labels,' for example. Any ideas?

Buzz, Easy fix. Open Dashboard/Layout/Page Elements. Then in the 'Blog Posts' widget, click edit. The 6th check box is where you can write anything you want for 'Labels'!
hey, I like this peek-a-boo thing especially your sidebar-link "Obligatory random sidebar clutter ...click the +/-".
how did you do that?? Thanks, Annie
oops sorry.. I've found your post about that
I feel a little guilty trying to take you up on an offer of help you made so long ago, but it seems like Ramani has not answered questions about this in a while and I thought perhaps you would have a sense of what's going on. I really would like to get this hack operational on my blog, but I cannot make it work. I keep getting a message about b:includable elements not being permitted in widget 1. I've checked and rechecked and re-re-checked that I'm putting everything in the correct place. Any other thoughts about what might be wrong here?
Thanks very much,
Emilie
I want to display a new post by clicking on lable. and i do not want this post in my page window blog. so what can i do?
Please help me..
@Margani, I don't think what you are wanting to do do is possible. At least I don't know enough about the workings of blogger to figure that one out.
I don't know, even if you could get a post to display, how feasible that would be. You would have to give each blog a unique label.
hi annie
http://hpc-reads.blogspot.com/
i've implemented this but when i choose a label from my cloud, instead of showing 'Contents', the 'Showing posts with label ... . Show all posts' header still appears. Please help.
also, i'm still trying to figure out how to display the latest comments first.
thank you for your wonderful site.

@HPC Librarian, when I click on the labels in you label cloud, I didn't see the heading, so you must of figured it out!
For the recent comment widget, I would recommend Han's Recent Comments Widget
