A New Look for BlogU
I felt my header has seen better days, so I fired up GIMP and went to work. I do have PhotoShop CS3, but I'm not that proficient with it yet. A few minor changes were made here and there to pull it all together.

I like it!
Congratulations. I like it too. Very simple and pleasant.
Gorgeous! Blog U just deserve it. Clean and artistic design and of course I'm glad you add Entrecard, now I will be dropping cards like crazy!
LOL.
Well I'll be the first to admit that I loved the old design, including the books in the header - always thought that was a great touch. However creativity can't stay still for long can it?! ;) Looks great!
Love the way that it's slight changes rather than a massive revamp, so it's still very recognisable. Also a nice idea to bring orange in given that it's about Blogger. Clever.
Damn you though, I thought I knew all the good free font sources and now you've given me another one! :P
@Teleute, Funny you should bring up the books in the old header. I was really fond of them too. And I tried to work them into the new header, but I just never was happy with the result. So, I completely ditched them and went for this look.
I love the orange too. Good contrast...and of course the Blogger thing. Not to mention the RSS feed color.
I am a font freak. I stayed up till 2am last night font gazing. It is addicting. Glad I could point out a new font source to you.
I've been reading this blog for some time. You actually gave a very detail explaination and it's easy to follow. I'm using it on my Blogspot blog. Thanks again, pal! By the way, you got a nice header up there!
Love your new site. Is there a way to remove "Newer Posts" and "Older Posts" from the bottom of the page. I'm creating a website with a menu bar and I don't want it to display the posts I use to link to the menu bar. Thanks.
your header look so nice and eyecathing.. congratulations madam...
best regards,
cempluk
Wow, really neat change! The load time has decreased dramatically! Good job!
Hi, I have been peeping in every now and then and trying out some of these wonderful things you do. But I was not able to put images behind the side bar title on my blog. I would also like to add links that would open up as a new page and not a post. Could you help me with that? (My HTML knowledge isn't much!) Here's my blog link tongueticklers...
Thanks!
@Sunshinemom, I would suggest trying to add the images again, starting completely over. Sometimes you overlook just one little thing, and that makes all the difference in the world.
For the second part, read this post: Build a Blogger Mini-Site
@The Princess Diaries, I know there is, but I don't have time to look into it right now. Check back for a post on how to remove those terms.
Hey Annie,
Just wanted to stop by and say..."Love the new look!"
What a great inspiration you are!
Also, wanted to say that I accepted your Entrecard last week, but for some reason it never showed up on my widget. So if you want to drop it again, please do. I'd be happy to have you there!
@Ron, So happy you like it!
Strange about the Entrecard gone missing. Who knows. Anyway, I'm trying again!
This is a very creative site and I am learning a lot. Thanks for all the information you are passing on. I am eating it up....Sue
Good job!!
The new header looks great. Learn that CS3.. It's FUN!!
I really love your beautiful template. It makes me want to come back and revisit.
Gorgeous Annie!
Do you think you could share how you remove the icons next to commenter's names? You know the uggly B icon for blogger, etc...
@Miranda, Thanks!
I wish I did remember what I did...or if it was just a happy by-product of hack incompatibility. I truly don't know.
@Sunshinemom, take a look at this post: Remove "Newer Posts" and "Older Posts"
I like your layout, clean and simple. The only problem are a couple of banners that overlap the right column (I'm using a 800x600 monitor resolution).
hmmmm looks cool and pleasant
nice post for me a newbie, please visit me on Vista 84 thank :-)
thanks for sharing
